SAMMY THE SWEETHEART-ADOPTION PENDING

Please note – that we are looking for a forever home for Sammy that has another dog friendly dog – Sammy is high energy and loves his canine buddies.

Sammy is an absolute sweetie! He is a 1.5 year old, 25 pound, bichon frise/poodle mix. Unfortunately, due to an illness in the family, Sammy needs to be rehomed. Unlike most animals coming into our rescue, Sammy is coming from a loving home and does not have many of the issues abandoned and abused animals tend to have. This happy boy is very social and good with other dogs (has not been exposed to cats). He is full of fun, loves to play fetch and go for walks. Sammy is currently crate trained, obedient in the house and will tell you when he needs to go out. Sammy requires regular grooming every 2 months in order to maintain his beautiful coat.
Since Sammy is young and still has the high energy of a puppy, he will need parents who can join him in daily walks and exercise. Sammy’s ideal home will be one with a fully fenced-in yard (apartment life would not suit Sammy), ichildren over the age of 13 if there are children in the home (because of his size and vulnerability).

We would like to see Sammy in a home with another dog with the same energy level as Sammy loves to play and is excellent with dogs.

ADOPTED – Our boy Pozzo has found his forever home!

Pozzo is a 4-year old Labradoodle who is extremely gentle and loving. Although Pozzo is a little shy when he first meets you, he is a very happy boy who loves to play and go for walks. His favourite play is chasing a ball or frisbee. Pozzo is good with other dogs and will happily greet them and engage in play. He will wrestle, run and chase for hours. Because of his large size (approximately 100 pounds) and being very clumsy, he is best to play with larger dogs. Pozzo loves human companionship and will follow everyone around the house. He is good to be left on his own and is completely house trained (hasnt had any accidents since he was a puppy). He rides very well in the car for extended periods of time. Pozzo walks well on a leash (uses a gentle leader) and knows his basic commands. Pozzo has been fully vet checked and has no health issues.

Pozzo is a very easy-going boy who would do well in most home situations. Pozzo has not spent much time with kids or had cat exposure, so we recommend a home with children over the age of 14 and no cats. His home must be one with a fully fenced in secure yard.
