TIMMY THE TIMBIT – Pug Mix

TIMMY THE TIMBIT: Pug, Dog; Stoney Creek, ON
TIMMY THE TIMBIT: Pug, Dog; Stoney Creek, ON
This is our little tinbit Timmy. Timmy was abandoned and living in a back alley. Thank goodness he was found and rescued before this deep cold weather hit us. Timmy is safe and currently at our vet clinic. We estimate him between 2 and 3 years old. He is very sad and very lost. When we take him out of the kennel for little walks we are starting to see a glimmer of happiness in him. We would like to move him into foster care or an adopted home. If you are interested in helping Timmy, please send an e-mail to deannaaarfrescue@yahoo.ca. As with all AARF rescues, Timmy has been fully vetted. He has been neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, treated for fleas, dewormed and heartworm tested.
Please note a fully secure fenced in backyard is required.  If there are children in the home they should be over the age of 14 years.

ADORABLE ARCHIE – Vizsla Mix

ADORABLE ARCHIE: Vizsla, Dog; Stoney Creek, ON

ADORABLE ARCHIE

This innocent boy was literally dragged into Animal Control as his current owner did not have the time for him. Another case of irresponsible pet guardianship – he was treated as something disposable. Her loss will certainly be someone elses gain because he absolutely beautiful! This little guy was so terrified at Animal Control that we moved him into a boarding kennel. He is doing so much better now. Archie is only 8 months old. He is extremely well behaved, calm and loving. He is very gentle with people and taking treats. Everyone at the kennel just loves him.

If you have love, time and commitment to make Archie a part of your life, please send us an email at deannaaarfrescue@yahoo.ca

Please note due to Archies unknown history if there are children in the home they must be over the age of 13 years. As well, the foster home should have a fully fenced in yard.

MAGNIFICENT MOLLIE – Bluetick Coonhound/Foxhound Mix

MAGNIFICENT MOLLIE: Bluetick Coonhound, Dog; Stoney Creek, ONMAGNIFICENT MOLLIE: Bluetick Coonhound, Dog; Stoney Creek, ON

MAGNIFICENT MOLLIE

Mollie is a magnificent girl – she is such a kind and gentle girl. It’s hard to understand why someone would abandoned her in the middle of nowhere leaving her to fend for herself. She was found starved and scared, but since being in our rescue she has blossomed into the most beautiful and loving girl. Her foster mom, Jodi, says she is quiet and not a barker. She gets along well with Jodi’s dogs, cats (she tries to play with her cats) and is good around the horses.

Mollie is approximately 3 years old and does have energy to burn. She would do well with an active family who likes to hike, walk or jog.

Mollie has been fully vetted; she is now up-to-date with her vaccinations, treated for fleas, treated for worms, micro chipped, spayed, heart worm negative and has had a full dental. She is ready and eager to find her forever home that will love her unconditionally.

If you are interested in adopting Mollie, please send us an email and we will be happy to send you an adoption application to get the process started. Please note that Mollie’s home requires a fully fenced in secure backyard and if there are children in the home they must be over the age of 13 years.

WHY BECOME A FOSTER PARENT?? – PLEASE READ

Rosy

On February 16, 2010 one precious and dear life ended. Rosie was found wandering the streets; we suspect that someone drove her and just dumped her off like a piece of garbage. Rosie ended up in a pound facility. Unfortunately, the pound facility where Rosie was being held sent her out to be destroyed. This is a case where it is so vital to have foster homes. The dogs at these facilities receive little to no medical care. They are basically kept 24/7 in a concrete kennel.

Please if you are thinking about becoming a foster parent, send us an email at deannaaarfrescue@yahoo.ca - someone’s life depends on it!!!

BEAUTIFUL HARLEY, ADOPTION PENDING – Husky Mix

BEAUTIFUL HARLEY: Husky, Dog; Stoney Creek, ONBEAUTIFUL HARLEY: Husky, Dog; Stoney Creek, ON

BEAUTIFUL HARLEY

Harley is currently in foster care and is doing very well. His foster parents Lynn and Earl say he is one amazing boy who is good natured, well behaved and respectful of his foster doggy and kitty brothers and sisters. Harley is house trained and is crate trained as well. Harley is a good boy and is eager to please – he is playful, loves to go on walks and has a real affectionate side too.

Harley will require, as any young dog does, consistancy, structure and routine. He knows basic commands and is learning to walk on leash without pulling. Harley would love to go to training classes with his new person and it would be a wonderful bonding experience for both Harley and his new person.

If you are interested in meeting Harley, please send us an email and we will send you an adoption applicaton to get the process started.

Please note that Harley’s home should be one with a fully fenced in secure back yard. As well, children should be over the age of 14 years.
